Opening of the diagnostic room

Starting from March 21, the "Alegor" Center has launched professional diagnostics using the international ADOS-2 methodology.
A special room was set up for this purpose, fully adapted to meet the requirements of the assessment. A comfortable environment is created to help the child feel at ease, allowing specialists to carry out accurate and detailed observation.

The ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) is considered the “gold standard” for diagnosing autism spectrum disorders and is widely used around the world due to its scientific validity, reliability, and objectivity.
Specialists at the "Alegor" Center received professional training through Giunti Psychometrics — the official representative of the ADOS-2 methodology. The training included both theoretical and practical instruction under the guidance of certified trainers. All specialists successfully completed the course and received internationally recognized certificates confirming their qualifications.

We use licensed ADOS-2 materials in our work, ensuring high accuracy of results and compliance with international standards.

Following the assessment, parents receive a detailed report describing the child's behavior, communication, and social interaction patterns. While this is not a medical diagnosis, it offers valuable insight into the child’s individual developmental characteristics. If needed, parents can use the report to consult with relevant specialists — such as a psychiatrist, neurologist, or other medical professionals — to clarify the diagnosis and plan further support.

Classes to support children with autism and their parents

From March to June 2020, online classes were organized to support children and their parents. We did creative work together and did different exercises all together. Through these activities, the children learned to repeat by the teacher during watching him on video. During the morning exercises, we practiced the skills of imitation, gross and fine motor skills, endurance, learned new songs and movements. In the classroom of creative activity, we learned to work with our hands and develop fine motor skills: carefully glued, cut out, painted, made origami, and so on. In turn, parents established additional cooperation with their children and learned to teach them on their own. Thanks to the lessons, it was easier for all of us to observe the daily regime moments, which, of course, is very important in this difficult period of pandemic.
