Alegor Balti

Alegor Correctional Centre provides lessons based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA therapy). ABA therapy is a therapy that has been scientifically proven and recommended for the education of children with autism.
ABA sessions are recommended to begin at an early age. First of all, regularity and systematicity are important for ABA. The process of correction includes:
- Observation of the child, for initial assessment of skills
- An individualised training programme (most often based on the ABLLS-R or VB-MAPP skills assessment), which takes into account the parents' wishes and includes training in daily living, communication, play, social and academic skills. The individual programme is modified or adjusted by the supervisor depending on the speed of skill acquisition.
- Individualised work - meetings with the supervisor are regularly scheduled.
- Parental presence and participation is encouraged (as long as it does not interfere with the child) as the sessions help to better understand their child, teach them how to cope with their behaviour and help them learn the necessary skills using ABA. The programme usually includes guidelines to follow. Repeating the exercises at home helps to consolidate the skills as quickly as possible.

The format of classes at the Alegor Bălți Centre is individual. Classes are held for 1 hour and 30 minutes, daily from Monday to Friday. Children from 2 to 8 years old are accepted. The languages of instruction are Russian and Romanian.
